October 25th Assignment: A step away

leave a comment »

The purpose of this assignment is to get you thinking about images in abstract terms and focusing on light and composition in your images. Look for images that are graphical in nature. Before you press the shutter button, look around the viewfinder or LCD screen and ask yourself if every part of your image is important and it in some way helps make the image better. Use the ideas of negative space and the rule of thirds we have learned.

For this assignment you must turn in seven *different* images of different subjects. The photos you make must be taken of people or objects that are within of step of you or closer. Put another way, whatever you photograph you could touch it if you took one step toward the object being photographed.

You can turn in more than one image of each subject, but you must turn in a minimum of seven different images.
